Mr Kazmierz Poznanski, PhD. is a Professor of Economics at University of Washington since 1987. A leading scholar on Eastern Europe, poet, painter and an art collector, Mr. Poznanski was born in in Poland and has lived in the United States since 1980. He received his doctorate in Economics from the University of Warsaw and made the analysis of post-communist transition to capitalism in Eastern Europe with a particular emphasis on Poland his life’s work. Prof. Poznanski has published extensively on the topic of the former Soviet Block countries post-communism transition to capitalism  Before coming to the UW in 1987, he taught at Princeton, Cornell, and Northwestern Universities.  His academic achievements are equally as impressive as his artistic success. Poznanski comes from a family with a long tradition of painting and art collecting.  His grand uncle Otto Ostrihansky (1895-1970) was a Vienna-based Austrian painter and art  professor. Mr. Poznanski is a published poet and his newest paintings can be viewed at Fountainhead Gallery in Queen Anne. Mr. Poznanski has affection and interest for ROCCA concerts & events and is looking forward to advising us.

Dr. Pierre Loebel is Clinical Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Washington in Seattle from which he retired as Chief of the Geriatric Psychiatry Service at an associated hospital.  He has also maintained a private practice, including being the founder, CEO and Medical Director of a multi-disciplinary group providing mental health services to patients residing in nursing homes.

His professional affiliations have included the Washington State District Branch (past President) of the American Psychiatric Association (APA); consultant to the World Health Organization; membership of the Board of Directors of the American Association of Geriatric Psychiatry; and membership of the Seattle Psychoanalytic Society and Institute. He is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the APA; a Fellow of the American College of Psychiatrists; and a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

Mr. Pierre Loebel was born in Bucharest, Romania; is married; and has 4 children, one of whom is also a psychiatrist. Mr. Loebel has always loved and enjoyed Romanian culture and is looking forward to advising us.
